Lume

Lume exists because candlelight is unkind to white porcelain. A cold white body under a warm low light goes grey; a warm body under the same light appears to glow.

The glazes were developed over two winters against a single reference: a beeswax candle at a metre. Each one carries a trace of rutile and tin, which softens the surface and lends a faint depth you notice most when the room is dim.

In daylight the range reads as a quiet cream. After dark it does something else entirely.
